Coldplay // Christmas lights

Christmas time is filled with music, so I decided to do an advent calender here on the blog with just that…some christmas songs I like, accompanied by little drawings. Hope you like it! And here is day 1 (just press Play on the player below).

Ich dachte, ich mache dieses Jahr mal einen Adventskalender hier auf dem Blog und zwar einen audiovisuellen, mit Liedern, die ich mag und Bildern dazu. Hier ist Türchen Nummer 1 (einfach unten auf Play drücken).

Weimarer Adventskalender

So! Endlich ist es soweit! Der Weimarer Adventskalender ist in der freien Wildbahn angekommen und kann von Euch schwupp-di-wupps weggekauft werden. Prinzip ist das gleiche wie letztes Jahr: Die Seiten sind vorn verschlossen und müssen jeden Tag aufgeschnitten werden, um das Bild freizulegen. Beteiligt sind 24 Illustrationsstudenten und -absolventen der Bauhaus-Uni hier in Weimar. Noch ein paar Kaufargumente: 2farbiger Offset, viel Liebe drin, mal was fein anderes.

Zu kaufen gibt's ihn hier in Weimar: im Bauhaus.Shop oder in der Eckermann-Buchhandlung.

Ihr Armen, die ihr nicht in Weimar seid, könnt aber auch einen Kalender online bei Dawanda erstehen und zwar hier <--klick.

There he is! Again 24 illustration students and alumni of the Bauhaus-University Weimar created an advent calendar! By opening the closed fold every day till christmas, you can peek inside to see the nice, hidden illustration. You can buy it here online, BUT I wouldn't recommend buying it if you do not understand German (some have added text to their picture!) // (Cover made by my fellow organizer and great illustrator Franziska Walther. Great news with many feathers and very big eyes! Some weeks ago Shivani from »My Owl Barn« asked me if I wanted to participate in the Owl Lover 2012 calendar project. And well, it happens I'm an owl lover too and happily said »Yes«! The Owl Calendar 2012 went online today, so if you also have an affection for owls and are in need of a nice calendar for next year, you can go here and vist my owl, dancing among 45 others. You can select the images you love the most and create your own free calendar and download it. Great, right?! So, off you go! Schuhuuu!

Tolle Neuigkeiten mit viel Federn und großen Kulleraugen. Shivani von »My Owl Barn«, einem Blog, der sich ganz den Eulen widmet, hatte mich vor einigen Wochen gefragt, ob ich beim diesjährigen Eulenkalender mitmachen will. Und weil ich Eulen auch dufte finde, hab ich prompt »Ja« gerufen. So, der Kalender ist jetzt fertig und heute online gegangen. Wenn ihr jetzt auch noch Eulen mögt und 'nen schönen Kalender für nächstes Jahr braucht, dann *husch husch* schnell hierhin geklickt. Da tänzelt meine Eule zwischen 45 anderen, ihr könnt Euch die aussuchen, die ihr am besten findet, alle ausdrucken und schon ist 2012 kalendertechnisch abgedeckt. Na, wenn das nix ist…

Tanzt, tanzt!

PINA - Original Soundtrack - "Lillies Of The Valley" - Music by Jun Miyake

I've finally seen »Pina« at the cinema. Best. 3D-movie. ever. And now my favourite movie of the year. So many gorgeous pictures, a great insight into the work of Pina Bausch and intense music. I listened to the score the whole week. Especially this piece. Dance, dance into the weekend!

Ich habe endlich Wim Wenders »Pina« in 3D gesehen. Sooooo gut. Bester 3D-Film bisher und mein momentaner Lieblingsfilm dieses Jahres. So viele atemberaubende Bilder, ein toller Einblick in Pina Bauschs Arbeit und so schöne Musik! Ich habe diese Woche nur noch den Soundtrack gehört und besonders dieses Lied. Tanzt, tanzt…ins Wochenende!

I've been busy these last months. So I'm really ready to abandon my desk and leave for vacation, but before I do this, I want to show you another book I did illustrations for. It came out this month too and I like it very much. It's »Bulle und Pelle«, published by Gabriel. It's about Bulle, a little boy, whose rabbit dies and Bulle wonders where he has gone now that he is dead. And so he goes on a little journey during which he meets different people to get an answer. It's a really touching story and I'm happy with the outcome. I especially like the cover, since it turned out exactly like the inner picture I had in mind when I read the manuscript.
